PRECISION Lab (Precision Research in Early Clinical Intervention, Systems, and Integrated Outcomes in Neurodevelopment) is dedicated to understanding how psychiatric symptoms emerge and evolve across development. We integrate multimodal approaches—including neuroimaging, dense longitudinal sampling, digital phenotyping, and large-scale electronic health record (EHR) data—to map individual trajectories of risk and resilience.

Our work focuses on early identification and intervention in youth at risk for psychopathology, particularly psychosis, anxiety, and affective disorders. By combining deeply phenotyped, within-person datasets with population-level clinical data, we aim to bridge mechanistic neuroscience and real-world clinical outcomes.

The lab’s goal is to develop scalable, precision approaches to prediction and treatment—identifying when, for whom, and through which mechanisms interventions can be most effective.

The PRECISION Lab currently spans Massachusetts General Hospital and the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. We will be moving in early fall 2026 to the University of Iowa Department of Psychiatry!
